Such a unique find and really something different, you cook your own food on a hot stone rock stays hot the whole meal! You take your own alcohol and they are happy to give you glasses and open bottles! Nice selection of quality food with gluten free and vegetarian options. With your meat or fish on a hot stone you get a jacket potato, roasted courgette & carrots, a selection of three dips. Desert you get cream or ice cream or all and it was amazing
This was a lovely find and something different and quite unique, where you cook your own choice of meat or fish on a hot stone rock at your table! It was busy, pre-booking required. They don’t sell alcohol but you were welcome to take your own along with you. It’s dog friendly, mu dogs had their own rug under the table to settle down on! Nice selection of quality food with gluten free and vegetarian options. I forgot to take a photo of the main food as I was busy listening to instructions on how best to cook it, but you get a platter with a jacket potato, roasted courgette & carrots, a selection of three dips and then your meat or fish on the hot stone. Food was lovely, quite a novelty cooking on the hot stone, would definitely go back!
First time visiting here, I have had steak on a stone in the Algarve for many years, so was nice to have similar here close to home. Wife had fillet & I went for Lamb rump, beautiful is all I can say, was tasty and cooked to perfection (oh yeah I cooked it myself lol). Seriously though we'll worth a visit, staff friendly and helpful, one thing they say as you enter is they don't serve alcohol but are happy for you to supply your own and they don't charge corkage (bonus). Seriously recommended 6
We've never tried stone cooked food before. It was fantastic. The fillet and lamb rump were excellent. It's a lovely little restaurant and the staff were great, very friendly. It's a family run business and they clearly care about what they do. Bring your own wine/drinks. If you've not tried this method of cooking you really need to give it a go. It's an eye opener. Highly recommend.
